NATHAN BAYS
Founder
Nathan Bays is an experienced healthcare executive with experience across health policy and finance, M&A, venture capital, and law, advising Leading Health Systems, early and growth stage companies, and financial sponsors on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategy, and health policy. He has worked as a senior investment banker at Citigroup and Cain Brothers, focused on M&A and strategic advisory with health systems and health services companies.
Prior to his tenure in investment banking, Nathan was General Counsel and a member of the executive team at The Health Management Academy. At HMA, Nathan also built and managed several business lines, including the company’s advisory and health policy work with Leading Health Systems across the United States. Prior to joining HMA, Nathan started his career as a corporate attorney focused on the healthcare sector.
Nathan is a frequent author and speaker on industry trends, strategy, the M&A landscape, and health policy. He has served as lead M&A advisor on more than $5b of health system/hospital mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Nathan is currently a member of the Board of Directors of UniteUs and has served as a board member or advisor to numerous other healthcare companies. Nathan received his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University.
